ello all
we have a conference pear tree in the garden and was wondering how easy it was to make pear cider. ive googled some recipes but its as clear as mud. i dont want to buy loads of exra kit so would use my basic brew kit if possible.

From what I've read you make it just like you would a Cider, pulp and press the pears to extract the juice then ferment with a good ale yeast. _________________ Drinking: Rum and Coke.
Maturing: Prohibition Rum, London Bitter (AG), Elderflower Wine.
Brewing: Nadda!
Planning: GobHoblin (AG) plus Geordie Mild w/Honey and Head Cracker.
Dumping: Are you mad? |

Don't forget to leave the pears for 24hrs after chopping but before pressing so that the astringency goes.
Tis very important else it'll be horrible.
That's the only difference between perry making and cider making that I can think of. _________________ Sort of new but getting on a bit now. |
