Cock up homebrew? Does that happen? Sometimes a brew may need to have lemonade or lime or sometimes more beer added to it to make it drinkable but it's never mistake!
Yes we all mean to brew 7.5% beer, what's that lads? To strong? Silly lager drinking girls.

its when beer has the burnt rubber or vinegar flavour that it becomes difficult to argue that it should taste that way

Can't say I ever managed burnt rubber, I got a tcp once and I've had what smelt like cider (was supposed to be stout)
