Bergamote This beer is named after a friend's cat. Made with a blend of pale and wheat malt and hopped with First Gold and Fuggles, it is a good session bitter with an OG of 1042. It is elegant but full bodied with a bit of spice, much like the cat!

Used candi dark for main & 2ary fermentation - swine to dissolve so use hot water. Put in an extra 10% for good measure. ABV calculated at 6.6% and it tastes great - not too sweet as someone else has reported after just 5 weeks.

First time Brew and must say It's a very good pint at about 4.5% I used the standard insructions but used Sainsburys Bottled Water (13p for 2lts) in sted of tap water

Used brewers sugar, I can't rate the Geordie kits highly enough. I have done 3 lagers, 1 mild and the bitter. All have turned out superb. This was a truly scrumptious session beer for the money.
