This kit is intended for the real beer brewing enthusiast and the cost is kept low by supplying everything in a plain box. This package usually includes a Wooodfordes Wherry kit, but in order to ensure your order is dispatched quickly, we may substitute it for a different Woodfordes kit of equal quality (usually Admiral's reserve).

Only part way through the process but looks OK so far. The instructions are clear with regards the brewing process, but not really much in terms of strerilizing instructions...

After deciding to give this homebrewing a go, I thought I'd try this kit because of all the great reviews. The kit arrived in great condition. Couldn't wait to try it, so got it underway that same day. I followed the instructions and left it to ferment. Fermentation took longer (12 days) but the smell was great, before kegging. FG came out at approx 1013/12. After reading various forums I left the keg in a warm place for 1 week and then moved to a cool place. Had the first pint last night, 2 weeks after kegging, and I'm very impressed. Its still cloudy but taste was spot on. The head is better than some pubs and last all the way to the bottom of the glass. Will be leaving another 2 weeks at least to fully clear but I believe it only gets better with age.
An excellent kit for the beginner. Will definitely brew Wherry again and buy from BIY.

I had not done any brewing for about 10 yrs and thought it was time that I had a go once again. I chose this kit because it included all the basics for making a brew. I am very pleased with the complete kit. and it arrived very quickly. Instructions were easy to understand and comprehensive. The results, well, WOW! there has been a big difference in the home brewing scene in recent times. The finished beer is better than many a pint you buy in the pub and I shall certainly be trying all the Woodfordes beer kits in the near future.
